    Dear San Bernardino planning commission-

We have moved to Joshua Tree, Ca. to make it our home as we appreciate its eclectic small town atmosphere. We knew that next to the town of Joshua Tree is a larger city with big box stores and chain restaurants. We didn’t want to live in a town with those stores available. The town of Yucca Valley adjoins the town of Joshua Tree and has those businesses available. If i wanted to go shop at a Dollar Store i can shop at the one in Yucca Valley only minutes from my home.

There is no need to add this store to Joshua Tree. I moved here and live in a old house here from the 1950’s needing restoring. The ambiance of Joshua Tree attracts tourist dollars by its quirky claim of small shop owners selling hand-made items and services.

    Thank You —
